Subject: Increasing Age for Audition of Announcers/ Anchors / Presenters Comperes.
In a meeting taken by Director General on 27/04/2012 & 28/04/2012, the subject was discussed at length and it was decided that with Immediate effect, the maximum age limit for audition at the entry level in respect of Announcers/ Anchors Presenters Comperes for Special / General Audience Programmes only is relaxed up to 50 years, instead of 35 years as at present. However, there is no change in other requisite qualification laid down for the purpose.
This relaxation in age does not apply to Youth and Child comperes.
This issue with the approval of DG: All India Radio.

The need for increasing the age limits for casual Announcers/Comperes/ Anchors/Presenters on assignment basis has been engaging the attention of this Directorate in view of the problems being faced by the stations.

पहले से ही कार्यरत आकस्मिक उद्घोषक और कम्पीयेर को प्रसार भारती नियमित नहीं कर रही है , ऐसे में ओडिसन की उम्र बढ़ा कर 50 वर्ष कर देने से किसका भला होगा ? प्रसार भारती को चाहिए की उन तमाम आकस्मिक उद्घोषकों का नियमितीकरण करके रिक्त पदों के सापेक्ष भर्ती की योजना बनाये। इससे न सिर्फ इन आकस्मिक उद्घोषकों को लाभ होगा बल्कि इनके वर्षों के अनुभव से विभाग को भी कुशल और बेहद अनुभवी कर्मचारी मिलेंगे।

As we all are aware that the closing date for the direct rectt. was 19 April 2013.It appears that this clarification has been declared after the closing date.So please clarify the purpose of this relaxation.
