Subject:- Details of Announcers Grade.
Reference this Directorate’s letter of even number dated 22.05.2012 on the subject cited above.
2. Zonal head AIR stations had been requested to send the seniority list of Announcer Gr.III as on 01.01.2012 maintained on zonal basis latest by 31.05.2012 so that officials could be considered for promotion to the post of Announcer Gr.II. Details of Announcer GR.IV and Gr.II have also been sought. However, no response has been received from any zones. This has been viewed seriously.
3. It is once again requested to send the seniority lists of Announcer Gr.IV, Gr.III and Gr.II immediately so as to reach this Directorate latest by 07.06.2012 positively. Failing which names of the defaulting zones would be brought into the notice of DG, AIR.
4. This may be given ‘top priority’.

Subject:- Details of Announcers Grades.
The promotion from the Announcer Gr.III to Announcer Gr.II is pending since long time. In order to consider eligible Announcer Gr.III for promotion to Announcer Gr.II posts, Seniority lists of Announcer Grade III which are maintained on the Zonal basis are required in this Directorate.
2. Similarly in order to maintain updated records of Announcers posted at various AIR stationsd, details of Announcers in all grades Announcer Gr.IV and Gr.II as per proforma are also required.
3. All Zonal Heads of AIR Stations are therefore requested to send the details of the Announcer Gr.IV, Gr.III, Gr.II as on 01.01.2012 posted in their Zones, according to their seniority, to this Directorate latest by 31.05.2012.

this will be interesting to see after promotion what the announcers are getting and in what pay scale format .. because after murger of scales 5000 to 6500 it seems only grade pay will be upgraded from 4200 to 4600 ..so on .any clarification ??
